The stormwater pipe and the Paragon have been removed. This now gives a better view of the beach from the highway. Gee it feels like summer. Enjoy every day.

Francis the dancing traffic controller appeared in a story on A Current Affair. We have real characters doing real jobs in Burleigh - great to see. I just feel like dancing.

Burleigh Beach won the local clean beach award. A big thank you to all who contributed to the cleanliness of our wonderful beach.

Glorious view a feast to my eyes
Waves forming out offshore
Surfers congregate wanting more
Lifeguard sets out the red and yellow flags
For safety of swimmers and occasional dags.
A stroll on the beach, path or round the headland
Take the dog he’s man’s best friend
Families with sandcastles
Young people no hassles
Come put down your beach towel next to ours
Slip on the sunscreen it should last for hours
The sun will warm you to your bones
Friendly people so you are never alone
Casual relaxed very laid back
In fact once you visit Burleigh you may never go back
